Santa Barbara Face & Body
A physician-led plastic surgery and aesthetics practice on California’s Central Coast, given a mark and a site as thoughtful as its care.

01The brief
Two physicians, one philosophy: natural outcomes. The brand had to feel warm, editorial and restrained, never manufactured.
Dr. Allison Pontius, a facial plastic surgeon, and Dr. Alain Polynice, a breast and body surgeon, share one practice on State Street. Patients come for surgery, for non-surgical rejuvenation, or for both, and the brand had to hold all of it together.
We started with the identity: an interlocked SB monogram, a warm palette of charcoal, driftwood and cream, and an italic serif for every display line. Then we built the site on Urge Foundation, with a page for every treatment and every concern a patient might arrive with.
02The homepage, end to end
Every section, in order.
- Thoughtful aesthetic medicine
- The practice
- Meet the physicians
- Aesthetic practice
- Surgical practice
- In their words
- The approach
- Start with a concern
- Request a consultation
- Footer

03Beyond the homepage
Sixty-four pages, one quiet voice.
Twenty-nine treatment pages, thirty-three concern pages and a profile for each physician, every one opening the same way: a plain-spoken introduction, the physician who performs it, and a way to ask.

Each treatment page says what the procedure is, who it suits and which physician plans it, in the practice’s own calm register.

Every page, just as considered on a phone.
04The system
Their brand, given room.
An identity we designed with the practice: the interlocked SB monogram, a warm palette of charcoal, driftwood, taupe and cream, and an asymmetric cut corner on buttons and cards. Display lines are set in Cormorant Garamond, always italic, and the reading text in Cabin.
05Built on Urge Foundation™
